Terms of Use

By using Contraception SA you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information only

Everything on this site is general information about contraception. It is not medical advice for your situation and it does not create a doctor and patient relationship. Which method is right for you should be decided with a registered doctor who knows your history.

Consultations and prescriptions

Consultations, prescribing and dispensing are done by Online Doctor SA and its pharmacy partners, not by this site. Their own terms apply when you use their service. Contraceptive medicines are prescription-only in South Africa. IUDs and implants need to be fitted in person at a clinic.

Accuracy

We try to keep content accurate and current, but medicine changes and we cannot promise the site is complete or error free. We are not liable for decisions made purely on the basis of this website.

Changes

We may update these terms and the site content at any time. Continued use means you accept the current version.

Start a contraception consultation online

Answer a few questions about your health, have it reviewed by an HPCSA-registered doctor, and if a method suits you, get your prescription dispensed and delivered discreetly. The online consultation covers the pill and the patch. For an IUD or implant, see a clinic in person.
